Hi Kip,

Onex also uses SNX-L03-05. I would like to get one for my ONEX. Put me on your list for the next run.

Thanks.

Hi Kip,

I'm plans building Sonex #800. I've read that some Sonex owners are happy with the cheap ($30) 5" tailwheel that Wicks sells.

http://www.wicksaircraft.com/catalog/pr ... index.html

Do you think this tailwheel would work with your bracket? If so, can you let me know how to get a hold of you to purchase one from the next batch?

Thanks,
Frank

Frank, all I can do is give you the dimensions as I have not tested that wheel. My fork is 2.100 inches wide to accomodate the Van's wheel. You may or may not be able to take up the difference with washers. The holes are drilled for an AN-6 (axle) bolt.

It's best to email me at n 1 1 1 kx (at) mindspring dot com and I will put you on the list for the second run.

Regards,

Kip

Let me the first to say that Kip's bracket, combined with a 6" Vans tailwheel, is an excellent upgrade to the stock system. The bigger wheel gives more clearance (very much needed, especially if you're operating on grass) and the bearings are much quieter on takeoff and landing.

Do you have a price for the bracket and what Vans tailwheel it works with?
