Nose Gear

Postby Concorde » Mon Jan 11, 2016 12:31 pm

My question is regarding the bolt and the nut that goes in the drive horn (SNX-L02).
Plan calls for AN5-32 bolt (drilled) and AN363-524 (lock nut with nylon insert) and not the castle nut as I was expecting. Is this correct and wouldn't there be an issue with nylon insert and the heat ?
Thanks
Ben

Hi Ben,
The AN363 nuts are all metal stop nuts not the nylon inserts.

http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/hapages/an363.php

"The AN363 all-metal stop nuts are designed for use in high temp installations (up to 450°F). Fabricated from cadmium plated per specification QQ-P-416C."

The AN365 are with the nylon inserts.

Hi Stewart,
I guess Aircraft spruce sent me the wrong nut no big deal . How about the bolt, is it suppose to be drilled ?
Thanks
Ben
