Can someone please share the installation instructions for the nose wheel pant with flat sides on Onex.
Thanks in advance.

Ben:

This is what I found after my post the other day. Sonex issued a tech/drawing update for SNX-L06 in Oct of 2013, it's on their web-site. It had the updated drawing with detail on there.

Basically slide nose pant over gear leg (1" hole drilled into top per plans), drill and tap the flat side of the gear leg (one fastener per side), and use a machine screw to attach (AN526C-10R6).

For those who want the rounder nose pant, I have one that I'll let go for shipping and a six pack. Just PM me.

Hi Scott,
I saw that also. What is confusing to me is this part: it says Attach wheel pant to nose gear fork using Axle bolt on nose gear assembly (resafety per ONX-L02 drawing ). I don't think they are talking about sandwiching the pant between fork and the washer or maybe they are.l would like to see the drawing that they are talking about.
Thanks
Ben

Ben,

Here are the specifics:

10.21.13 SNX-L06 B -02 and -04 Installation and Details -06 and - 17

Changes for new "Flat Sided" Nose Wheel Pant which eliminates the -17 Nose Pant Attach Bracket: -02 Tri-Gear Installation: Modified front view to show flat sides. -04 Wheel Pant Installation: Deleted -17 and associated hardware. Detail -06: Modified top view to show flat sides. Detail -17: Deleted Bracket Mount Detail. No Longer Required. Download:

Judging by the picture Jake posted on my build thread, it does appear the axle bolt sandwiches the nose pant against the nose gear strut. If in doubt send tech support an email, Kerry got back to me right away this week when I asked about my mix up and extra work, re: modification.
