I have cabin heat which really just warms my legs and feet. I've flown down to 10F at altitude and no window frost but was seeing my breath. Biggest issue is the draft coming in from the wing roots and up the stick boot. Gotta have gloves.

A heated motorcycle vest is great! Max power draw is 3.5 amps. And it is much less bulky/restrictive than wearing heavy duty winter gear.
I have a coax connector wired directly to the battery (with an inline fuse) for this purpose. The way it is wired, I can also use the connector to hook up a battery tender in the cockpit.
There are heated gloves, pants, insoles as well, but keeping your body core warm is what matters and is what is usually sufficient.

I do. It is often below 29 here. And at 8500' the temps are lower. I dress warm and enjoy the great performance. When the sun is out there is enough warming.

I'm a warm weather guy. Don't know how long I could take it at temps below freezing.
