Misplaced Confidence

Good Morning Sonex Enthusiasts,

I posted a version of my November 2017 KITPLANES article, "Misplaced Confidence," on my website for all to absorb. The article was inspired by my personal experience as a homebuilder and as someone who has dealt with new and experienced builders (and potential builders) every day since 1999. While it is written from my Sonex-specific experience, I know it applies equally to anyone building or restoring an airplane, or for that matter anyone that undertakes any project where they may turn to someone else or the internet for advice.

You can read it here:

Thanks for posting this on the Sonex Newsgroup Kerry.
I knew the article existed in Kitplanes but I don't have access to it.
With such excellent support from the Sonex factory, building and flying my Sonex has been one of life's highlights.

Great article Kerry, and spot-on. As you know, I've been there too! :)

Thanks Kerry for this write-up. I am guilty as charged, but am on the path to regain my misplaced confidence...
