Dual control sticks

Has anyone used taper pins for the control stick to horn attachments, or just the bolts called out on the plans? I'm sure the quality of the hole plays an important role, but it seems like an appropriate use for the pins.

The reamer is available for loan but I am not sure who has it. I handed it off to Bryan Cotton but I am certain he loaned it to someone else.

Yeah do it! I originally used a bolt there. It started to get a bit of play so replaced it with a #2 pin a few years ago. It took the slop right out of it.

I have a #1 reamer and the mixer came out famously. I saw on the link that some have used the #1 and some the #2 with the appropriate pins. Is the only reason for using the larger reamer and pins due to the holes already being drilled out to 1/4in.? My components are still virgins.

Yes we did our sticks and mixer box. There is a special washer that goes with the pins, u can see that in the spruce catalog or online. Glad you like the results.

The plans don't call out that special cup-shaped washer...........just a 960. I did have a couple left over from days gone by though.
