Is this a scam?

Good morning all,
I received this email the other day, I have my sneaky suspicions however I am loathe to be rude to a genuinely interested future pilot. However, have a read of this, if you are the young pilot out there building a Waiex or know it to be true please enlighten me. I will not supply personal details to an unknown third party regardless.

Subject: Girls Can Fly Anything Magazine - Contacts

Message Body:
Hi Richard, I'm Amy and I'm 10 years old. I am currently producing a magazine called Girls Can Fly Anything.

Recently I have invited Katherine Perkins ( another 10 yr old in Texas USA ) to write an article about herself and how she is building her own Sonex Waiex B aircraft. I would love to include some contacts for people in Australia who might like to buy a Sonex from SonexAus yet I cannot find any.

Would you perhaps have any contacts I could use for my magazine? ( Email, phone number or both would be greatly appreciated)

Thanks, Amy Spicer

Richard - if you are Richard Young. There is a "contact us" form on the SonexAus web site that routes to you. But if you know that and you are asking about the CONTENT of the email:

Bit of a red flag - Amy Spicer <Kylieandamy30@gmail.com> But maybe not.

A safe bet would be to simply reply and point out SonexAus doesn't sell Sonex kits and point her at the real Sonex website at:

https://www.sonexaircraft.com/

That's public domain and doesn't breach anyone's privacy.
