Cracked tailwheel bracket

We were flying patterns today and started getting a noise from the tailwheel. Knocked it off and discovered this crack. The tailwheel bracket was noticably bent.

Powdercoat stripped off:

I welded it back up, and welded on some doublers as well.

Edit: the smaller cracks were hidden by the powdercoat. The noise was the pivot bolt head dragging on the ground. The noise started off just when we hit a bump, then got more steady.
