Ha, I don't think my sonex will be visiting there anytime.

Thanks Brock! Yeah out of my league. The turbo or Jabiru guys should be able to do it.

I know of one Jab 3300 Sonex that flew into Leadville. Won't say who because of privacy concerns, but he did come from 2 states east of Colorado to an air-show at Front Range Airport (FTG). Can't remember when, could have been more than 15 years ago. I remember talking with him before hand, he was going with some RV guys. Think he might have reported the flight on the old Sonex Talk group. I recall that he reported being surprosed at the amount of runway needed for the takeoff. Wouldn't be surprised if other Jab 3300 Sonexes in Colorado have flown there. I flew into Leadville in 1990 in a Trubo 206 on the way back from airphoto mapping Sonoma County CA. I don't remember getting a certificate. it was my last flight in that plane. I had actually gotten fired before doing the job. Got crosswise with the cameraman and he won out because he was an employee and I was a contract pilot.
