N110NX

Postby GLENDSMITH » Wed Dec 07, 2016 4:24 pm

After almost four years of building ONEX seriel number 0110 she flew on November 21st. I flew the first flight from Lewisberg Ellington Airport (LUG) in middle Tennessee. The plane flew quit well with only minor tweaks to the Aerovee engine. My support team included my wife and building partner Karen, my son Andrew who flew top cover with fellow pilot Dan Ford. Also present was my EAA Tech Councelor John DeYeager, fellow pilot Tom Kempfer, and friend Julie Roberts.

Glen
Fantastic. Your smile is so big it can be seen through your beard. It just goes to show you that it is not just RV builders have that big smile as advertised.

Congrats. You'll never forget that feeling!
Taildragger Waiex in progress, tail done, wings done, about to mate wings to fuse,
then cowl, canopy, paint (photos): flush rivets, turbo aerovee, acro ailerons
(I built my RV7A and happily flew it for about 500 hrs)
