Any details on what happened? Is that where it came to rest?
You said "former" had it been sold. Still registered to Mike in Auburn.

One of my buddies saw it on beechtalk forums. I can't get on there without a login

If you do an FAA N number search, shows the owner as Dan Grover.

My Bad. Thanks for the correction. I had quickly seen Mike's name under ACFT Description.

Mike here.

It was my plane. I sold it to Dan early 2023.

I talked with him a lot yesterday, he is just sore.

An amazing testament to the robust construction of the Sonex airframe!

I have a couple theories of what caused the power loss but don't want to get into details about it currently for obvious reasons.

I won't lie, it is sad to see something you built and then flew for 10 years end up that way but I'm just happy no one was hurt.

Great job keeping your speed up and keeping it flying all the way to the end! Glad to hear there are no major injuries.
