Defective contactors supplied with Sky-Tec starters

An oldie - and it may have been posted in the past. But given how long it can take to build and get flying. If you have a Sky-Tec starter that came with a contactor. There is a service bulletin on some of the contactors. They can fail in flight and leave you with no electrics. 2018 bulletin attached.

Is this for the internal/integrated starter-contactor inside the starter? Or a separate/independent contactor device?

Separate. See the image and part numbers in the bulletin.

I only posted this because now I know why I had to replace mine a few months ago! :-)

NAPA was my friend that day.
