T-Hangar Utilization

Here's how a Sonex product can fit in a T-Hangar with other aircraft. In fact, a third Sonex might fit as well...:)

That's an interesting configuration. I have another Sonex sharing my hangar now. Since my plane isn't quite ready, mine goes nose in all the way to the right with the wing up against the right wall. The other sonex is a tail dragger. She sits prop towards door on the left side of the hangar, but we have to raise the tail over my left wing and set her down. So they are nested. to get to the back of the hanger requires a serpentine path around the wings and tails. I might try your configuration this weekend to see if we can reduce the dance to get to the tools and benches in the back.

Looks good Kip. Think you got room for a Pitts in there somewhere?

I love the Kolb...one day ill talk my wife into letting me build one!

My hangar isn't nearly as neat as yours but I've got my plane, my parents boat, my sister in laws Ford Mustang, and tons of other crap in there.

How's the Waiex running? Big adventures planned for the summer?

Mike, the "tail area" of the hangar is 17', 6" and the Pitts wingspan is 17', 0". Could be interesting but I'd spend all of my time getting the airplanes in and out. I'll worry about that when the day comes.

I plan fly up to the NW USA before OSH and if all goes as planned, I will have landed at 47 states upon arrival at OSH. We shall see... 8-)

Kip, if you need a stop in Colorado, look me up. I'll provide a hangar and all the necessities for an overnight stay.

Kip, retracting the offer, there's no room in the inn.
Mike Niedenthal just brought in a mostly finished Sonex from Tenn today.
Three Sonex in a 40 ft T-hanger with all the trimmings. Will someone please buy Zack's plane (the white one) so we can put Mike's wings on?

You should build one of those airplane lifts.
