Removed AeroVee and installed 2200 CAMit with standard 20 amp alternator and inhibitor. Had to do some wiring changes to accommodate Dynon Skyview. Engine moved forward as it is lighter and lots of work on the cowl.

I'm super curious to know, have you flown it yet with the new engine and if so were there any performance gains with the cammit?

Haven't flown yet-just finishing weights and balance. Coming in 32 pounds less than AeroVee I would expect some performance improvements.

How far forward did you end up moving it?

Nice Job with the Camit installation. I'm looking forward to seeing your plane flying with the Camit on YouTube. Maybe a "walk-around" video showing the engine installation would be great if you get a chance.

Thanks Jason-I'll do a video walk around. The engine mount is 9 inches longer (20" vs 11")than the AeroVee mount and the tip of spinner is about 7 inches further forward.

Beautiful paint scheme. Is that a jet ski trailer?

Cheers

No it is a boat trailer that hauled a 21 ft SeaRay that I converted to haul the Onex. The ramp lowers down and I can load it myself in about 5 minutes. Another 15 minutes to tie it down and I am ready to go. I have a hangar at the airport which is about 14 miles on side roads from the house but I prefer to take it home for maintenance/annuals etc especially in winter when I can work in my heated shop. My friend also uses it to haul his Onex to his house as needed.
Thanks
