I think I figured out why the youtube previews would not show. You need to cut out the junk including and after the ? in the link.

My 5 minutes of fame - you need your last name and EAA number to view.

Thanks Greg!

Working on the extra credit parts of the annual. Our mounts had sagged a little over time. I've reshimmed it so it is a little up, and a little left. The left is to reduce the amount of left pedal required on takeoff, a little bit anyway. We have run out of left pedal with a right crosswind before.

Getting to this point is a pain!

Next up I'm pulling the engine to reseal the flywheel. And I'm going to safety the starter bolts.

We have been down for over a month, but I finished and signed off the annual last night. This was yesterday's ground run.

That ground run was yesterday. We had another about a week ago and I had the needle way too rich. After the first ground run, I had 2 drops of oil on the floor. After the second, I didn't have to clean up any oil. I am cautiously hopeful that the work on the flywheel, the new rear main seal, and resealing the oil pump has made a significant improvement. Now we just need to fly it.

Sounds good. Lot of work but well worth it for performance and peace of mind/confidence in your mount.

Thanks for sharing.
