Discontinuation of Jabiru Engines Yahoo Group

Please note that the following message has been sent to the Jabiru Engines Yahoo Group today:

Hello Jabiru Engines group members,

This group has been owned and moderated by Sonex Aircraft, LLC since 2001, and was established and maintained as the only stable Jabiru engine online discussion group available for most of that time. When all other Sonex Aircraft Yahoo Groups were made inactive in-favor of the forums at SonexBuilders.net, the decision was made to continue with the Jabiru Engines Yahoo Group as the primary discussion group available for Jabiru engines.

Jabiru USA has very recently established it’s own group, available at: http://www.usjabiru.com/forum/

This new group uses the same phpBB forum software platform as SonexBuilders.net, which most would agree provides a much better forum experience than Yahoo. SonexBuilders.net also has an active Jabiru forum at: viewforum.php?f=8

With the availability of these two new Jabiru forum outlets, Sonex Aircraft has made the decision to de-activate this Yahoo-based forum effective Friday, August 14th.

Like all other former Sonex Aircraft Yahoo Groups, Jabiru Engines will be closed to new memberships and new posts after the 14th, but it’s content will remain online for current members to access, download and archive as they see fit. With regard to archives, we would make the same point as with the other Sonex Aircraft Yahoo Groups: all but the most recent years of archived information on this forum is very dated, and largely not applicable to current aircraft projects using new Jabiru engines considering the dynamic development history of Jabiru engines since 2001.

We encourage all members of this forum to join the new Jabiru USA forum and/or the SonexBuilders.net Jabiru forum, as linked above.

We thank you all for your participation in the Jabiru Engines forum since 2001, and we look forward to the expansion of these new and improved Jabiru forum outlets in the future. As always, please feel free to contact us with any questions at the links below.
