snx-W06-03 rivets

Postby wingnut99 » Sun Dec 30, 2018 12:07 pm

The flap drive plate calls for ccc-44 flush rivets. I also have ccp 44 flush rivets. Does anyone know what the difference is between ccc and ccp? The anchor nut for the control calls for ccc-34 flush rivets. The only rivets that I have are ssc-34 flush that are labeled hydraulic brakes. Anyone else run into that? I only need 4 for both flaps. I think they basically hold the anchor nut from moving during assembly so I'm tempted to use those and hope I don't come up short when I get to the brakes. Any thoughts? Sometimes it takes days to hear from Sonex on issues that seem trivial but I would feel better knowing for sure.

CCP = dome head

Thanks for the reply. I actually pulled a ccc 44 out of the bag and a ccp 44 today and noticed the counter sink bottom of the rivet head. Of course I used the dome headed ones on the flap drive plate so now I get more practice at removing and replacing rivets. I bet I would make better progress if I didn't have to drill out the wrong rivets or drill out good rivets because I have the part on the wrong side.
