If you think this makes you an idiot, you have a lot of company here. I did exactly the same thing. The problem is with the drawing. Taking dimensions from the fold makes some sort of sense for an assembly drawing but makes no sense whatever for a lay-out drawing. I have seen worse though. I once saw a drawing of a welded structure where all the dimensions were taken from a point in space so that the fabricator had to re-calculate all the dimensions from known references. That's just asking for trouble. I'm pretty sure I still have my short fuselage sides in case anyone wants to make a short Sonex.

thanx peter...i think measuring from a fold line is kind of dumb also but i should have looked and caught it...billy

Don't worry about making a complete new skin. Simply cut the front section of the existing skin you have made, at the point that coincides with the front of the first bulkhead behind the rear cockpit bulkhead. Then make a new 'part skin' that goes from the rear of the second bulkhead to the point where the F26 skin normally ends. Saves a whole lot of material.

Oh, and I don't think you need to ask me how I know this one.....hahaha
