Glareshield Adhesive

I decided to glue a sheet of Velcro to my glareshield with Super 77. After that peeled, I tried 80. That worked for a few days but also lifted. I then tried a 3oz bottle of weldwood contact cement. That worked the best, but it has now peeled just as bad as the other attempts. The heat and humidity here in Alabama might be affecting things.

Does anyone have a successful felt or velcro installation on their glareshield? What adhesive or fasteners did you use?

I'm an expert now in installing and removing the windshield and all the impossible-to-reach bolts.
