Hi, new to the forum. I purchased a 23 hour Sonex and need to re-torque the head bolts @ 25 hrs. Does anyone know where I can get the tool that allows me to get to the head bolts under the rockers? Brian

Congratulations on the purchase of your new Sonex Brian! I hope you love the airplane!

I’m not sure of any tools that will work for you. The standard is to remove the rocker assembly, torque the head bolts, reinstall the rocker assembly and finally check the valve clearance. It’s not a quick job but pretty straightforward.

Good luck!

I do it with a crowsfoot that you can get under the rocker and that fits on a socket extemsion. And a bit of math because it's now on a small lever that Changes the actual torque measurement

You can get crowsfeet from harborfreight or most tool stores. If you have the foot at 90 degrees no math needed.
