Hi all. Thanks for the replies and the suggestions on what to look for. Mark, I did pull the plugs and checked the condition. They did look good but cleaned them and. Rechecked the gap before on each one. All good.
I was looking at another another sonex the other day and noticed the right distributor cap was the same as mine and yet dry as a bone. And yet mine had water? Condensation maybe I’m not sure but will keep checking.

I’d ill thanks for the reply. I’ll keep this in mind.

Forgive me for not posting this as I though I did but my prop is not the original prop from sonex it’s a GT prop that is a coarser pitch. Which reduces my static rpm between 2650 and 2710.
On bothe test flights yesterday I was developing easily 2650 as soon as the power came up and prior to the tail coming up 2710 to 2750. Level off in the circuit you could see speed increase and RPM increase rapidly. However needed to maintain 2400 to 2500 RPM in the circuit just to maintain separation from other aircraft.
Engine was operating fantastic and aircraft handled incredible. As both flights totalling 1+40 airtime doing touch and go’s
Thanks for all the trouble shooting tips from everyone. I especially want to take the time an say a big thank you to Mervin Friesen from Stienbach for taking the time to show me his beautiful looking sonex and giving me so much tips and information on what to look for.

Cheers to all.
