90 degree oil drain valve

Postby N555NX » Thu Jun 30, 2011 7:14 am

I saw a picture somewhere with a 90 degree sump drain valve coming out the side drain port on the oil pan. Where can I get one?

I have not bought one yet as it seems that it will interfere with the oil cooler baffling.

I did install the valve last oil change. I managed to break the metal oil cooler baffle so I just took it off. I run about 10F hotter which is perfect for winter!

During a new install, you will have to notch the metall baffle a bit for clearance for the drain valve.

I'm looking forward to my first drain after more 25 hours. Having the oil shoot out paralell with the ground is a bummer after a while...:(
