Corvair Engine First Start

I recently flew my Cleanex ("Myunn - daughter of Cleanex" a Corvair/Sonex) to Corvair College # 27 in Barnwell, SC. These are colleges put on by William Wynn for the purposes of teaching builders how to build there own Corvair conversion.

Myunn got a good deal of attention by those wanting to see a Corvair on a Sonex airframe with one guy saying, "I didn't realize that was an option."

But another plus was seeing Cleanex builder, Amit Ganjoo, do his first ever engine run at the college. Here is the link:

As for me, this was an opportunity to take my wife as first passenger in my Cleanex which now has just a bit over 51 hours on it. Not much to see but here is some video she took on the way over. It was very smooth and clear and quite a beautiful day to fly:
