Aveo wingtips

Postby Sonex1517 » Tue Oct 16, 2012 10:18 pm

Couple shots of my "blingtips" - arrived today way late and after a major hassle.

I trimmed them a bit and did a test fit. The glossy finish is great, but no way I can recommend them after my experience....

Robbie, what can you tell me about the "bling tips". I went to Aveo's website and could not find info on them. How light are they and what was your experience with Aveo on the fit, quality and service? PM if you wish. David

Just curious, but why the secrecy .If I have a bad experience with a vendor I want everyone to know. That is what is great about the internet. Bad service or a lousy product will be found out in the end but if you can forewarn others they can do diligent research on their own,ask questions in other forums and come to a decision on their own whether to still buy from said company or look elsewhere .
If you want to play it perfectly safe you just express it as "your experience " or "your opinion".Two things you are still allowed in a free society. :D

Right. So "in my experience" and in "my opinion" there are times to post and times not to post. It is a somewhat free country....

Those aveo tips look nice.
However, I went with these.

Its a vacuum formed plastic that bolt onto the stock sonex tips. They came out nice. and cheap.

I used the exact same ones with 4 nutplates on each wingtip to hold them in place. One added bonus I've used is that, with these tips, I was able to use a hole saw and my Dremel to cut an oval around 5" X 8" underneath that works as a wingtip inspection hole. This way ill be able to check wiring, spar condition, etc without removing the whole wing tip.
